Although the Supreme Court ruled in 1949 that race-based covenants in neighborhood deed restrictions are unenforceable, the Old Braeswood deed restrictions for all three sections contained antiquated and offensive racial prohibitions. Many neighbors have expressed a strong desire to remove this language from our active deed restrictions. We are pleased to announce that the measure has passed, but it is not too late to be part of this historic change. We will make a supplemental filing of all additional ballots received before December 31, 2019. You may still register your vote by downloading and returning your BALLOT.
