Members Meeting 5/13/21

OBPOA Members Meeting: 6 p.m. on May 13, 2021
Featuring Guest Speaker Dr. Peter Hotez, MD

We are thrilled to announce that that noted virologist Peter Hotez, MD, PhD, FATMH, FAAP, has agreed to be our guest speaker at the association’s Spring Members Meeting at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, May 13th.  Dr. Hotez was kind enough, despite his extremely busy schedule, to accept our invitation to speak at the meeting, which traditionally features a speaker on a topic of interest to neighbors. Because he was only available on May 13th at 6 p.m. the meeting date has changed. Dr. Hotez will present a topic related to the COVID19 pandemic, followed by a Q&A session. We will share the title of his presentation as soon as we receive it.

Meeting documents can be viewed/downloaded here.

The membership meeting will be held via Zoom.  Click the link to register in advance for the meeting:  https://zoom.us/meeting/register/tJYkf-2tqDIjGtJzkvc3fuEhBBFS9WVUS2jj   After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

He is also Co-Director of the Texas Children’s Center for Vaccine Development leading to the development of vaccines for parasitic infections, SARS and COVID19.  He has authored more than 500 scientific papers. He is an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine and the American Academy of Arts & Sciences, a leading science communicator and global health and vaccine advocate.  He appears frequently on CNN, MSNBC and Fox News.
